Description

EDIT: THESE FLOOR PLANS ARE OUTDATED. PLEASE CLICK THE LINK TO SEE THE NEW ONES: fav.me/dbsgni6

These are the official floor plans of all known levels of Cutler Hill Academy. There is a big chance some rooms will be altered if we see the need, but no major, roleplay-affecting changes will be applied from this point on. We hope that the floor plans are easy to understand, especially with the notes that are in this description, and apologize for the delay.

WE ASK THAT THESE FLOOR PLANS ARE NOT REDISTRIBUTED OR REUPLOADED ANYWHERE OR USED FOR ANYTHING ELSE. WE HAVE PUT A LOT OF TIME AND EFFORT INTO DESIGNING THIS BUILDING. If you want your own floor plans for something, there's this nifty thing called Google; you should try it.

Arrows in the stairs always point in the upward direction (except for the arrows to the basement on the ground floor, this is a small error). Sometimes staircases are built on top of each other.

Some classrooms have been assigned, others are free for other classes.

Storages are normally closed, except for those in the dorms - they contain things the students need on a daily basis, such as flashlights, batteries, pens, pencils, paper, and so on. They also have Boom Blasters here that the students may borrow.

A lot of rooms have not got a note, as the titles are self-explanatory.

School grounds

The school is built on a hill, and behind it is a cliff with a drop down into the ocean. To prevent the students from falling off, there's a large fence around the property which is practically impossible for the students to climb over. There's a gate in front of the school, which is normally closed.

The school grounds are nicely decorated with trees and flowers, and there are also playing fields for baseball, tennis and other sports.

There's a building next to the main building where some of the staff members live, such as the nurse. Students have no access to this building.

Beyond school grounds is a forest surrounding it, and there's a road leading into the town of Cutler (it takes between five and ten minutes to drive there).

Ground floor

:bulletblack: Courtyard - a big courtyard with a large, round fountain in the middle, evergreen bushes and flowers surrounding it. There's a wide path on each side of the fountain that leads up to the entrance of the school. Along the walls of the building, there are more bushes and flowers, and there's grass wherever there are no bushes.
:bulletblack: Entrance hall - basically a big room with nice columns going up to the ceiling, beautifully decorated so to make the students feel more welcome and at home. Opposite of the front door, there are two flights of stairs, leading up to the 1st floor. Beyond the entrance hall lies the big hall, or the lobby. This area also has columns going up to the ceiling, and in the middle of it, there's a black grand piano. Opposite of the entrance hall is the back door, which leads out to the courtyard behind the school.
:bulletblack: Restrooms - boys on the right, girls on the left.
:bulletblack: Front desk office - also called administration. This is where the students first go to register that they have arrived, and whenever they have questions, this is where they go. They take care of a lot of paperwork here.
:bulletblack: Phone booths - as the students are not allowed cell phones on weekdays, they still have the possibility to use the school's phone booths to call their friends and family.
:bulletblack: Elevator - mostly just there for the disabled students, as they encourage the students to get as much exercise as possible.
:bulletblack: Teachers' offices - a narrow corridor limits the noise from the corridor where the students move between classes. The teachers have their offices here (either some of them share, or it's not accurately split up).
:bulletblack: Teachers' cafeteria - the teachers will normally eat here, though some will choose to eat with the students.
:bulletblack: Kitchen, freezer, pantry - students are normally not allowed in there.
:bulletblack: Cafeteria - where the students eat all of their daily meals.
:bulletblack: Indoor garden - a calm place to sit and relax.
:bulletblack: Choir room - where the choir practices.
:bulletblack: Study room - where the students are allowed to go work on projects and study.
:bulletblack: Janitor's area - no students allowed.
:bulletblack: Doctor's office - Doctor Mayfield is only at the school certain days of the week.
:bulletblack: Nurse's office - the nurse lives by the school and spends all her time there.
:bulletblack: Sickroom - where the students live when they're sick, to avoid infecting/bothering roommates
:bulletblack: Auditorium - where assemblies are held, but the students will also put on plays here. Sometimes, during weekends, the students will also host movie nights here.

1st floor

:bulletblack: Indoor balcony - once you climb the stairs from the ground floor, you reach the big hall where there's an indoor balcony - basically a big hole in the floor with a view of the ground floor hall and a railing around it, plus columns going from the ground floor and up to the ceiling by the two corners. There are two small balconies where the students can go and get some air. The main (and only entrance) to the dorms is here. This door is normally locked at night so that the students can't roam freely around the school, or take off out of the building.
:bulletblack: Computer labs - sometimes there are IT classes held in these labs, but when they're not occupied, the students are allowed to use these computers freely until 8 PM.
:bulletblack: Principal's office - where Principal Wingfield is most of the day. In order to go see him, you need to speak to his secretary.
:bulletblack: Dean's office - Mr. Goldston, the dean/vice principal's office. It's more usual for the students to see him rather than the principal.
:bulletblack: Teachers' lounge - where the teachers hang out, no students allowed.
:bulletblack: School advisor office - where the school psychologist Ms. Lee is certain days of the week.
:bulletblack: Library - where students go to find the books they need, and there are a few computers there as well. It closes at 8 PM.
:bulletblack: Closed-off part of the library - off-limits for students, the door is locked.
:bulletblack: Dorms - boys on the right, girls on the left; there doors between the dorms are closed during the night, indicating that there will be no sneaking off to the other side. Keep in mind that the only way in and out of the dorms (except for emergency exits) is here on this floor. There's a flight of stairs connecting the two floors.
:bulletblack: Kitchen - one on each side that both floors use, where the students keep snacks, drinks and so on, and they are also able to make tea and such here.
:bulletblack: Laundry room - big enough for one floor, students wash their own clothes, but not towels, bed sheets and so on. The room has washing machines, dryers, ironing boards and such.
:bulletblack: Big bathroom - one on each floor on each side, containing bathtubs, showers, toilet stalls, vanities with big vanity mirrors, and urinals for the boys.
:bulletblack: WC - a smaller bathroom with toilet stalls and a vanity.
:bulletblack: Closet - supplies for the students, which were mentioned earlier.
:bulletblack: Dorm rooms - from two to four students can be assigned to one room. Some rooms have bunk beds, other have single beds. The beds are wide enough for the students to feel comfortable. Each room has at least one desk, sometimes two, wardrobes and dressers for the students to store their clothes/belongings. Each room also has a window (the room by the corner has no window and is a last-resort kind of room. The one on the second floor has a skylight).
:bulletblack: Hangout area - a big space with several couches, chairs and coffee tables, plus a large TV, a stereo, a pool table and a pinball machine. Students are allowed to hang out here until 11 PM.

2nd floor

:bulletblack: Study room/reading room - rooms that the students are free use, as long as they're doing something school related there.
:bulletblack: Students' club rooms - there are several different clubs you can join at the school, and these rooms are for school related clubs only.
:bulletblack: Closed-off part - a second floor to the closed-off part of the library.
:bulletblack: Dorms - look practically the same as the ones downstairs, except there's a smaller hangout area where there are only chairs, couches and a large coffee table.

Basement/sub level

:bulletblack: Pool - from 2 PM to 5 PM, the pool is reserved for the members of the swim team. After 5 PM, other students may use the pool as they please. Students can, if given permission, host pool parties here. Underneath the tribunes are small storage rooms, and next to the tribunes is an office-like booth where the "lifeguard" can watch other students playing around in the pool. Note: the pool and the gymnasium both have windows, as the building is set on a slope, causing the rooms at the back of the basement level to be built mostly above the ground.
:bulletblack: Gymnasium - the same rules apply as with the pool. The gym is used mostly by the gymnastics team. Most other sports are played on assorted fields outside. Underneath the tribunes are small storage rooms.
:bulletblack: Music rooms - for the students who attend music classes, but can also be used after 5 PM by all students. The rooms are sound proof.
:bulletblack: Photography club room - for the photography club especially, and they also own the dark room. No other students use these rooms.
:bulletblack: The long corridor - for staff only. Students with disabilities have access in and out from this area (in order to use the elevator), which is closed off with a chain-link fence and gate.
:bulletblack: Big laundry room - where bed sheets, towels and so on are washed.
:bulletblack: Locked-up area - a large locked-up area the students have no access to what-so-ever. In the long corridor, there's a chain-link fence and gate keeping anyone at a distance, as no one, not even the staff, is meant to gain access to the large steel door that blocks off the unused part of the building.
